Because advantage auto sale shouldn’t be able to be in bussiness

They have done nothing besides give misconception and fraud. They will be hearing from my familys lawyer very soon. Hope to never see someone get manipulated and screwed over like I have. This business is very twisted and has very poor staffing at both Peoria and pekin location. All are very rude and dont understand that customer service is what makes a business a good business. I dont see them being around within the next 10 years. Specially after Im done sueing them. Hopefully when they read this they will realize that there is consequences for binding a contract

Take advantage of you probably have bad credit is why you go there. Most vehicles are paid for within 3months of your payments but you still will owe 5000$ until people quit buying their over priced junk this will continue. It should be illegal to charge someone 30 to 40% more than what the highest book value is. If you do business with advantage auto sales you will be taken advantage of that’s a guaranteed experience

Over priced used damaged cars

Dont waste your time dealing with these guys they had the Repo guy call me to make threats about coming to get my vehicle that. I only owe $500 on and i dropped a payment a portion payment in dropbox that they don't check they have changed employees every month I be so glad when they SHUT them down in springfield, IL they are in need of money sooo bad due to no customer or sales so they harrass the good custome

Bought a lemon after several cars we wanted were supposedly sold.

I talked to Dave, the General Manager at the Springfield location. This after our 2004 Chrysler Sebring wouldn't start and had to be towed four times three days after purchase. He told me that since it was a "as is" sales, I was stuck with the car. It turns out the starter was bad, and was blowing out fuses...causing the car to not start. Dave ultimately told me that if I took the car to a trusted mechanic and got an estimate, he would pay for the repair and put the expense at the end of our payment schedule. Now Dave's voice mail is full and can't take any calls, and the mechanic hasn't heard from him after calling and giving the estimate. My advice to anyone thinking of buying a car at Advantage Auto Sales is to take the car to a trusted mechanic during your test drive. I've been told I should have done that despite the fact that I live 52 miles south our their Springfield location. Their internet site is a joke. The car we purchased 9 days ago is still listed as being on the Springfield car lot. If that is the fact, which it is, how many other cars are not for sale?

Bought a TURD

Bought my car May 5th, 2017. asked if there were any issues with transmission since it was kind of jumpy, i took to their shop and they said it was just an oil leak which they would repair before me purchasing.

TWO MONTHS (JULY) after purchasing the car, the transmission started going out and wouldn't go over 20 mph - mind you they did pay for the repairs but I was without my car for two weeks and they still expected payment without even having a loaner car - working two jobs at the time is a lot to ask rides for multiple times a day! got my car back and then again THREE MONTHS LATER (October) the transmission went out AGAIN! To where the car completely broke down at at stop light (DANGEROUS) so once again they completely replace the transmission and get a warranty on it. They had my car for repairs for another two weeks, still expecting payment with no loaner car.

There were two times in the winter the car would not start for a week at a time, the car had to sit in my drive way as i caught rides to what now was THREE jobs. Ended up having to replace the battery since the one in the car was completely too small for the V8 Engine in the vehicle, and also replace the starter. Not an issue i guess, but then again in May, only have the car for a year the transmission issues AGAIN, at the stop light leaving me in another dangerous situation. This time they advised me I did not have to pay while repairing.

Their shop had my car for a week trying to find this warranty on the transmission before they would even order one. but THIS WHOLE TIME, it was the cable going from the transmission to the transmission computer that was disconnected, a 5 minute fixed! SO you mean to tell me you had my car for a week and completely inspected it to know it was a faulty transmission you put it, but didn't notice it was just a cable issue?! so no I have a forwarding balance that I WILL NOT PAY for them having my car for a week to fix a issue in 5 minutes.

The car again has an oil leak, I get my oil changed every 3 months, now I have to add almost 2 quarts a month! Now its currently the beginning of July and I am driving down the road for 10 minutes, my car is now running completely HOT to where it turned the AC off. I am currently pregnant and have two jobs at the time and I REFUSE to be in this death trap. Every time there is an issue I just ask to be in a good reliable car!

is that much to ask for after I am paying 3 times the amount the car is worth?! But no, they wont.

They even advised me after all the issues they aren't even making money off me, LOL that's nice to say to a customer. But yet the first car i purchased from you for almost 8,000 you gave me a 2,000 dollar trade in and turned around and sold it for 9,000, 3 years after i purchased it from you!

Can't make pm after hrs

That's so convenient for them cause if you don't get off work and get to them b4 6 pm Repo is there to take it at dark. They did this to me 2 times the third iis keep your piece of *** your saving me money and if i cared about my credit i would not have come to you to buy one. Besides them and there lender are so shady neither are rated with the BBB. BUYEZ BE WARE!!!

I have had the worst experience in the Peru IL Advantage Auto with the new people that are there, specially the manager. She was thrown into that position with my experience of any kind of management. I have had problems with my van since less than month of having it, they had it for 8 months after it broke down in the middle of the road. The people they had "fix" it ruined my electrical, cruise control etc. I can't see how many miles are on it because of this, they refused to trade it in after I was told after I got it under 3,000 dol,I could trade it in, I was lied to by manager because she said coporate said I couldn't. But she never got ahold of coporate because she got back to me almost 2 months later to tell me I couldn't trade it in. The repairs which was never fixed right in the first place charged me almost 2,000 dol to "fix" it. The piece they put in was a used piece, they had the van a month. So therefore I will not go ever to advantage auto again!! I wish the original workers worked there because they were great, these new pieces of *** they got in their now pocket money, they don't put the money all towards the vehicle nor repairs!! Get some new people in there and definitely a new manager that knows what they are doin!!!

Purchased car from Advantage a year ago. Paid three times what car was worth plus high interest rate. Payments are unreasonable at $500 a month. Car broke down within a week. After $600 in repairs broke down again. And again. Got to point I was afraid to drive it. Had so many problems I finally just gave the car back. They said their lawyers will be in touch and I will be sued for balance. Worst car experience I have ever had. They were constantly showing up at my address harrassing me and telling anyone who would listen I owed them money. Unless you can afford a high monthly payment and a high repair bill every month would not recommend. They are not listed with bbb for a reason.

Bad Bussiness

I have only had my car since November 14th made one payment , and last was due 2 weeks ago but car is not functioning spoke with the office on Friday and was told to make just 190 payment but couldn't make It over there due to bad storm on friday was going to call the payment in on Tuesday once they open walk outside they took my car with just one payment due like WTH ! M steering wheel will not turn I have put power steering fluid in the car still will not turn thee driver door will not open and have to climb on the passenger side of the car like im so upset that would come get the car over 190$

This Place Is A Joke

My stepdad got a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT. The car cost around $10,000 with only 25,xxx miles on it. Everything was going great for a week or so.. then the problems started appearing. At first it was simple, it was just the sunroof not wanting to close. Soon after that it was the windows not going up. So it went into the shop for both of those things. Again, everything was great. Then all of a sudden the car wouldn't stop overheating.. The water pump was the first replacement. My stepdad had it for about two years. That's where I come in the picture. Since my freshman year of highschool I wanted a red Grand Am. On January 14th, of 2016 the car was mine. It was in my name only. I loved that car, it was my everything. About 7 months later my transmission started slipping.. No biggie, right? Just some transmission fluid and we'll be fine; only for a couple months. I paid $300 to get a transmission flush. The mechanic soon realized that I needed a new transmission. It wasn't worth it though. With the payments alone I have to pay $5,000.. For a 2002? Plus a $2,000 transmission? I told Advantage all they had to do was take the car back, and I will finish paying on it. They wouldn't do it. On January 8th of 2017, I had to take a leave of absence from work. I went to the emergency room due to back pain.. After MRIs, XRays, CT Scans, and appointments with a surgeon I found out I have a vertebral slippage of 34%, 16% away from surgery. I now have to do physical therapy for 8 weeks so I'm not returning to work anytime soon. I am now probably going to be served with court papers over $3,500 worth in payments over a car that is currently not running. I know I could have Advantage work on it because I haven't heard the best about their shops. In all honesty I feel like they're just a big scam.. And as much as I love my car, (It's my everything and I love it more than life itself) my biggest mistake was signing those papers. If you have a choice, go somewhere else.
